Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Dearborn is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Dearborn follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It's nice to sit outside in the garden. It would be an even better experience if they would offer just the tea sandwiches, without having to get the sweets as well.

This was absolutely delightful. The food was delicious and perfect, (I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the egg salad sandwich as I generally don’t like egg salad) and the environment was beautiful. I was invited by colleagues and enjoyed the tea time so much I am going to make it an annual occurrence! Thanks for such a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend!

We try to go a few times every year. As a Diabetic, it's not good for me, but I prepare and enjoy the atmosphere. Yellow jackets can be annoying, but we happened to catch it on the grand opening day of the Jackson House and we had no Yellow Jackets. The experience is amazing.

It was a lovely spot for tea at the Cotswald garden. Unfortunately not serving tea last I heard.

Anytime is teatime in this garden haven, originally tended by Clara Ford. She adored the English gardens she had seen in her travels, and ours provides a testament to her appreciation. Loll over house-baked, English-inspired pastries, like scones with clotted cream, tea cookies and mini tea cakes or elegant savories, like the sumptuous truffled egg sandwich on brioche. The tea service is an American take on the beloved English tradition, elevated with a chef’s touch and locally sourced provisions, such as Slow Jams preserves and Zingerman’s goat cheese. Choose a tea service to share, or enjoy one in peaceful solitude among the glorious tumble of bright flowers surrounding you in Clara’s garden.
